CONFLICT MINERALS STATEMENT

CONFLICT MINERALS STATEMENT

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) defines Cassiterite, Columbite-Tantalite, gold, Wolframite, or their derivatives as conflict minerals, regardless of whether or not their production or trade has actually supported any conflict.

CY CARBIDE MFG.CO.,LTD., recognizes under certain circumstances mining, and trade of minerals, may support such conflicts, and there is a risk of our business contributing to adverse impacts, including serious human rights abuses.

CY CARBIDE MFG.CO.,LTD., fully supports the goals of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to avoid the use of any raw materials which directly, or indirectly, finance or benefit armed groups in conflict-affected and high-risk areas.

CY CARBIDE MFG.CO.,LTD., hereby states the following :

  1. We guarantee our products are manufactured from only Non-Conflict Minerals.

  2. We have requested our raw material Suppliers report immediately if there are known Conflict Minerals, or derivatives thereof, used in any supplied materials.

  3. We request of all our raw material suppliers, as per our secure sourcing strategy and process, that they undertake commercially reasonable due diligence within their own supply chains, to assure that minerals used in any supplied materials to CY Carbide, are not sourced from mines in conflict areas, and provide those assurances.

Furthermore, we expect all our Suppliers and sub-contractors, in their roles as responsible corporate citizens, to conduct their worldwide operations in a manner that does not result in any labor or human rights violations, nor the direct financing of armed conflicts.
